Facilities Committee
Chair/Co-Chair Tasks
- Arrange for weekly grass mowing of all grounds inside and outside of fence May through September
- Arrange for twice weekly pool house cleaning during the pool season
- Provide Treasurer with hours worked by contract workers
- Create schedule for committee weekly on call rotation
- Post a work schedule on the bulletin board
- Arrange for telephone service in the spring and discontinuance of the service in the fall
- Maintain a notebook on what was done, when and expenses
- Maintain list of families participating in co-operative work
- Spring and Fall work weekends
- Seasonal co-operative work
- Escalation contact for all Facilities Committee issues
Committee Tasks (Work weekend and as needed through the pool season)
- Oversee contract workers performing grounds maintenance
- Oversee contract workers performing pool house cleaning
- Repair the fence as needed
- Trim shrubs and care for all plantings – please coordinate with Mary Ann Van Doren
- Trim grass and weeds along interior and exterior of fence
- Arrange for maintenance and repair of all lawn equipment including grills
- Maintain sidewalks and parking lot
- Purchase gas as needed for lawnmower
- Purchase cleaning supplies as needed for pool house
- Arrange for weekly garbage pick-up the first weekend of June through the end of the second weekend of September
- Apply fertilizer, weed killer and grass seed as needed
- Purchase a US flag and maintain the flagpole
- Replace light bulbs on outside poles as necessary
- Request additional work as required to contract workers – examples being landscape trimming and pool house repairs
- Painting of the interior and exterior of the pool house building
- Arrange for any needed repairs to bathrooms and shower
- Purchase supplies as needed for the bathrooms and pool house
- Arrange for any needed repairs of improvements to the pool house
- Clean and organize the filter room as needed
